In order for a blog to be presentable to visitors, it needs to be free of spelling errors. Thanks to WordPress, you can download a plugin, called Spell Checker, to check for spelling mistakes as you type a post or a page.

In this tutorial, we will go over the steps to install and activate the Spell Checker plugin.

From your blog’s dashboard, hover your cursor over “Plugins” and click “Add New” as shown by the red arrow below:

Type “spell checker” in the “Term” box and hit “Search Plugins”.

In the following page, click “Install Now” under “Spell Checker”.

Click “OK” to confirm the installation, if prompted.

Click “Activate Plugin” in the following screen.

You’re almost there.

One more step; you need to visit the plugin’s options page in order for it to begin working. To do this, head over to:

http://YourWordPressBlog.com/wp-content/plugins/spell-plugin.php?speller_setup

And that’s it, you’re done.

Whenever you’re writing a post, there will a button called “Check Spelling” which you can click to start the spell checking.
